Enter an art horse
Design Your Chico Palio “Litter” (Minimum Requirements)
- Round dowels (for maximum racing comfort) of at least 2 inches thick (think closet rods) and at least eight feet long.
- At least two healthy humans to carry your horse creation. Under 18 must be accompanied an adult.
- One platform measuring no less than two-feet wide and four feet in length – the base for your horse.
- No words are allowed on the horse, however, a sign may accompany the horse to identify the team, neighborhood, business or community group.

Be a spectator
Come and watch the event!
Last year, we had approximately 2,500-3,000 spectators throughout the day. Come join in the fun. There will be hands-on art activities FREE for the children, a horse parade, a horse sculpture race, good food and drink and a chance to see the rich variety of arts & culture organizations our community has to offer. Don't miss out. This is a day Chico will remember.
